POSITION TITLE

Worship Leader (part-time, approximately 6-10 hours per week)

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Worship Leader is primarily responsible for developing and overseeing the music and audio/visual ministries of City View Church.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead/facilitate a team of volunteers who will provide music during Sunday morning worship services and at other special events such as Praise & Prayer nights, Christmas Eve services, outreach events, funerals, etc.

• Lead/facilitate a team of volunteers who will run the audio/visual equipment during Sunday morning worship services and at other special events such as Praise & Prayer nights, Christmas Eve services, outreach events, funerals, etc.

• Collaborate with the Second Service (i.e., Multi-Cultural Service) praise team regarding shared equipment and combined worship services.

• Maintain compliance with all necessary licensing requirements.

• Continually identify, recruit, train, and support music and audio/visual volunteers.

• Develop the weekly order of service in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and/or elders.

• Demonstrate, encourage, and lead others to live a lifestyle of worship.
   

REQUIREMENTS

• Fulfills all City View membership responsibilities.

• Fully aligned with the message, mission, and ministry strategy of City View Church.
   

EXPECTATIONS

• Consistently complete duties and responsibilities in a timely way.

• Maintain a healthy and positive relationship with the members of City View Church.

• Develop and remain within budgets associated with this position.

• Proclaim and share the gospel.

• Effectively problem solve within the scope of this role.

• Handle confidential matters and material with excellence.

• Make ongoing improvements and innovations within the scope of this role.

• Attend the monthly Leadership Team Meeting and annual Leadership Team Retreat.

• Provide regular ministry updates to the elders.

• Provide regular communication to the members of City View Church to keep them informed of what is going on in the ministry.

• Periodically review the duties and responsibilities of this position with the elders.
