City View Church is prayerfully looking to call a Lead Pastor who meets the Biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4.  We are looking for a convictional Southern Baptist who will teach and preach in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 doctrinal statement of faith, and who will lead our church to give through the Cooperative Program to support world-wide missions. Our Lead Pastor must be willing to work in cooperation with a plurality of elders (currently 3) and deacons (currently 4).

In addition to a clear calling to pastoral ministry and ordination from a Southern Baptist church, we are seeking a Lead Pastor who has completed some higher education at an accredited seminary or Bible college in preparation for ministry.  Also preferable is a minimum of five years having served as a staff member in a Southern Baptist church.  The position is full-time salaried with flexible office hours allowed (consistent with pastoral duties).  The total salary package for this position is $75,000 per year.

City View Church is located in Avon, Indiana, a growing suburb on the west side of Indianapolis.  We enjoy a mixture of the bustle, sports, and culture of Indy and the suburban intimacy of festivals, parades, and community activities in Avon and the surrounding suburbs.  Because of our proximity to both, we minister to a variety of young and growing families, city commuters, and many other diverse demographics.  On average, we have around 100 in attendance in worship on Sunday mornings, and we host a Kinyarwandan (Congolese) service on Sunday afternoons that averages around 50.
